Designer: Dries Van Noten Inspiration : An industrial warehouse right in the centre of Paris, a stone’s throw away from Canal St Martin, with a researched décor based on shadow and light plus deep and enchanting music… Dries Van Noten demonstrates that nothing is an accident, on the contrary, everything is studied, arranged, so that the magic works every time…young city dwellers, we imagine, artists, musicians, writers, whose elegance according to DVN is made unique. Collection: Tartan and check are made central with several suits, close fitting to the body or contrarily proposed in a loose version. A crochet cardigan can be added underneath a coat. English embroidery is found at the base of trousers whilst floral ornamentation appears on jackets, blousons and shirts. Without forgetting the silk pyjama suits and the long fringed shirts. To note: The major print of the collection, like squirts of paint, hand painted, on paper, using a marbling technique to create unique patterns.Interview with Jane Birkin: He is always one to be very strong with patterns, very daring, with masterpieces in layering, I’m going to go pick out something, it gives you a yearning, and I always dress like a boy… Ode to the boys!
